Welcome to First Light Community Foundation
The First Light Community Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation based in Hawke’s Bay and is committed to supporting communities through funds raised by gaming machines in hotels and taverns.
If your organisation is considering applying this website should provide you with all the information you need to know about making an application. Before making your application please review the criteria for being able to apply for a grant and the list of documents that requires uploading and all relevant information needed to complete your application.

As the Foundations Directors cannot consider retrospective applications (i.e. claims for expenditure that has already been paid) please ensure that you submit your application well in advance of when you require the funds.
First Light Community Foundation Grant Applications are going online
You can now submit your Grant Applications to First Light Community Foundation online. To Start an Application, enter the site firstlightfoundation-nz.baanalyser.com/start/ in the address bar (top of page) of your web browser or click Apply Here at the bottom of the page.
Below are the different browsers that can be used to complete your application;
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Internet Explorer 9 (or higher)
PLEASE NOTE: Your grant applications will need to be submitted online on or before the last day of the month to be considered for the following months grants meeting.
The Directors generally meet on or about the 20th of each month and aim to confirm grant decisions within 1-2 working days of the meeting.
